| We can do allergy skin testing for patients suffering from allergies, starting age 4 years. Our equipment is very sophisticated,thus assuring accurate results. We can then counsel patients about avoidance of allergens that they are allergic to. For severe allergies refractory to medications, we can start them on Immunotherapy, and for most part, would be able to work as Allergist. These insurances are covered by most insurances. |
| Nasopharyngoscopy can be done in our office with one of the most sophisticated fiberoptic nasopharyngoscope. The procedure is indicated for patients who have chronic rhinitis, persistent nasal drainage, recurrent ear pains,loud snoring and several other indications. The purpose of doing the test is to evaluate and then treat for nasal polyps ( which occur in about 8% of patients with allergic rhinitis), adenoid enlargements and other abnormalities in nasopharyngeal passage. The procedure takes only about 5 minutes, and can be performed on patients as early as 3-4 years of age. |
| We take special interest in the evaluation and treatment of Asthma and Allergic conditions. We evaluate Asthma by Lung Function Tests, which some children may be able to do as early as 5 years. We also check them for allergy skin testing.
Follow up Lung Function test ensures, the treatment the patient is on is successful. Many Pediatricians and Asthma specialists beleive that all patients should have routine Lung Function tests every 1-2 years, to ensure adequate control of Asthma, and initiate measures if the Asthma control is inadequate. |
